SKIRT / DRESS
The skirt is worn by the player who scored the least stableford points at the previous outing.
A player can only wear the skirt once in the Order of Merit year, so if he/she is the lowest scorer again, then the skirt moves to the player with the next lowest total and so on.
If there is more than one player on the lowest number of points, the Committee decides who the lucky winner of the skirt is.
The skirt is to be worn on arrival at the club and during the round.
If a player misses the outing at which he/she was to wear the skirt then they shall wear the “Dreaded Dress” at the next outing they attend.
SAS CUP
The SAS Cup is a Ryder Cup Competition played annually between Slappers and Squirrels.
The team consists of the top 14 players on the SAS Cup points table plus 2 wild cards chosen by the Chairman.
The SAS Cup points table runs from November to October.
SNAKES
A Snake consists of a tot of rum in a beer glass (no ice) with a Hunters.
Snakes go to the player in each fourball who is the last person to 3 (or more) putt on each nine. e.g. If player A 3-putts on holes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 but player B 3-putts on hole number 9, player B is the snake holder. Note that if there is more than one player who 3-putts on a hole, the Snake holder is the player whose ball was furthest from the hole after the 2nd putt.
If no one 3-putts on the back nine, the player holding the 3-putt from the front nine shall consume a double rum and single Hunters. The same occurs if no-one 3-putts the front nine but someone 3-putts on the back nine.
Putting from off the green counts as a putt (putter in hand).
The players in the fourball who did not get Snakes must buy the Snakes for the other players.
